Beat the Summer Heat with Wakefield Biochar!

The summer sun can dry out your soil, making it difficult for plant life to flourish. No need to fear because Biochar is here to help your dirt retain the moisture it needs!

How Does it Work?

Biochar increases microbial activity in any type soil for more nutrients and stronger roots. It also helps get the right balance of water to your plants.

When your give your soil what it needs, your soil can give your plants what they need!

Biochar retains moisture!

Check out this short video demonstrating just how much water Biochar can hold!

How Do I Use Biochar?

It’s easy! For most new plantings, make biochar about 10% of your soil. Then for the next 5-7 days, water enough to keep the soil moist.

This process helps jump start the Biochar to help deliver nutrients and moisture to your plants.

Will Biochar Make My Soil Too Wet?

Dry soil isn’t great, but overwatered soil is bad for your plants, too. The good news is that Biochar enhances any type of soil to retain the right amount of moisture. This means your plants can have those “Goldilocks conditions” it needs to thrive!
